It was such a pleasure capturing this special day for Jeff & Jade.
The day turned out to be warm, of course, but just beautiful for an outdoor ceremony.
Jade was such a beautiful bride, and the sight of her walking down the aisle with their son, Jayke, was just adorable! Jayke stayed with Mom & Dad throughout the ceremony, pointing out cool boats he saw, as Jeff & Jade laughed about who was to obey who during their vows, with many loving glances and big smiles in between it all.

♥

♥

The reception followed suite, with many laughs, hugs, and even more boat watching for little Jaykey!

♥

♥

The highlight of the night, for me, was finding out they’d decided to do a “first dance” sort of dance after all…. and while I’m snapping away, trying to capture every moment of this for them, Jade looks up and says so sweetly, “We’re so awkward!”
♥
It was such a beautiful day and a wonderful time capturing all the love this family has for each other.
Congratulations Jeff & Jade!

I almost forgot to share this, as Zach & Mackenzie (& guests) had already viewed their sneak peek during their Wedding reception! Everyone needs some Blog time though!
…and why not throw in a few more!
Zach & Mackenzie are adorable, and are surrounded by some pretty awesome people as well.
Wedding day preparations had such a calmness about them. Just a bunch of cool people, hanging out & looking their best! All the planning and details were taken care of, right down to the notes of thanks on both mothers arm cuffs!

Not only did the entire day go off without a single hitch (which is pretty much unheard of…), but it was such a great time to capture. The stories shared, the laughs, the words of kindness and appreciation, the love and excitement….
Gahhhhh!! THIS is why I love Weddings!

I recently had the pleasure of capturing Kenny and Amanda’s, or, should I say #BoopsWedding.
Somehow I’m still not completely positive who Boops is, however, since now they’re married, maybe they’re both Boops? Could that be a thing?

♥
All Boops aside, the day was nearly as beautiful as the bride herself, the humidity took a break, just for this occasion, and everyone was just so happy for this long awaited day to come.

After a first look in the park, any nervous jitters were definitely more settled.
Then an epic ceremony speech filled with (how many? Well… A LOT…) television show references to, about, and offering advice to the future Mr & Mrs filled the room with laughter and smiles all around.
Some teary ‘I do’s’, then the celebration was well under way.

It was a wonderful day and evening, filled with so much beauty, lots of laughs, and a whole lot of love.
Just perfect!
Congratulation Mr & Mrs Cabral!

Corey and Rachel are such a kind an easy going couple. From the our first meeting, to engagement photos, everything was smooth, easy, and always carried out with smiles and laughter.
It’s no surprise that the tone of their Wedding day would be no different.

Adding to the tone, the attention to detail and eye for creativity that was put into planning this day did not go unnoticed.
The result was pure elegance.

♥

Even more than things going smoothly, beautiful decor and easy going attitudes, this was a true celebration of love and family. It could be seen, heard, and felt everywhere you went.

♥

♥

♥

♥

From loving expressions, smiles, shared stories, happy tears….
A fantastic foundation to build a marriage. ♥
*Plus, it should be mentioned, that I believe Corey & Rachel may have danced with nearly all of their guests, at least once! So much fun!

I’ve never understood people who don’t like Weddings…
Shane and Jaime’s Wedding Day, however, would have certainly changed that crazy person’s mind! From the beautiful, yet relaxed Camp Bournedale setting, the personalized details throughout, and of course the smiles and fits of laughter that filled the entire day.
Plus, the dancing…. the hilariously awesome dancing. What’s not to love?!
It was an awesome experience being able to capture it all!
Especially since I LOVE weddings!

I’m loving the change I’ve made this year to switch my focus toward Weddings. It’s been amazing being able to focus my time and energy capturing such a momentous day in someone’s life. Quite often, however, those’s someone’s decide to expand their family and create a little one of their own. So what do I do when I get a call to photograph their new baby?
Well I do it! Duh.
Some rules were meant to be broken! If my own rule keeps me from getting to capture (& hold and snuggle) a new and adorable little baby, not to mention capture another momentous event in these someone’s lives…. well then that rule has got to go!
So here is the quite adorable Olivia:

SO worth a rule change! Right?!

I try not to be too repetitive in these Wedding posts, as it’s just too easy to say that every wedding I’ve photographed was beautiful and personal and so very touching…. because they are. They really all are, despite how completely different each and every Wedding is, I’m always brought to tears by someone, I’m always excited to catch the little details that have thoughtfully been put into the day, and there’s always a look on the Groom’s face, or sometimes maybe just his eyes, when he sees his Bride that I just live to capture.
This Wedding was no different. Except it was.
Paul and Abbie (ok, mostly Abbie, but Paul did help!) put so much thought into every detail of their Wedding Day. What started out as a “no theme” Wedding, quickly turned into this crafty, shabby chic, kind of beautiful DIY Wedding theme. It couldn’t have been more perfect, and was amazing to capture.
Their ceremony, officiated by a close childhood friend of Abbie’s, with readings from another friend, as well as Paul’s daughter, were heartfelt and touching, and, you guessed it – I found myself teary and desperate to blink them away so as not to miss a moment!
Then there’s the look. Paul may have been wearing sunglasses, but his smile was clearly ear to ear from the moment he laid eyes on her. I imagined him recalling that sign in his head; ‘Yep, here comes my girl.’
So how was it different?
Paul’s Best Man was truly man’s best friend. His dog walked him up the aisle and stood by his side. Instead of a flower boutonniere, she wore a burlap ‘Best Dog’ handkerchief of sorts, and she wore it well!
Paul and Abbie also had the only ceremony that I’ve ever photographed, or even witnessed, that started off with a selfie! It was hilarious, seemed to lighten pre-ceremony jitters, and even tapped into my strange love of photographing people taking photos… win!
I honestly can’t say enough about Paul & Abbie’s Wedding Day (clearly). It was such a beautiful day, filled with love, laughter and smiles throughout, a great reflection of who Paul and Abbie are, and it was all shared by happy, supportive and loving family and friends…
Who could ask for more?
