July 14, 2014 Nash Wedding

This is how it started….

A lot of good ol Pinterest and a recreated vision for Save the Dates, that suited Dan and Jenna just perfectly.

It was like…. they had me at “Hello”.

Seriously though… I couldn’t wait to share in Dan and Jenna’s  Wedding Day, and was so excited to be able to capture it all for them!

As expected, the day was filled with many beautiful and thoughtful details, as well as lots of fun, loving, laughing, silly people. We all know that I love the thought in the details, but truly, it’s being surrounded by great people that really makes the day so special and memorable.

Jenna, of course, was not only a stunningly beautiful bride, but was full of laughs and smiles (& maybe a few monkey noises….) throughout the day. There were some teary moments, though happy tears brought on by a thoughtful husband-to-be, seemed perfectly acceptable to all who watched.

(and phoned their husbands to take note of it!)

Then there was this…. this look when he saw her… the look that I live for!

Good job Dan!

After the “I do’s” the party was officially started!

There was dancing, and a few toasts to kick off the night… not to pick favorites, but one was a rap soo…. well i’m picking favorites!

I was so glad to have the ok ahead of time to snatch these two off the dance floor to capture them alone outside before the sun went down!

Dan & Jenna, your Wedding Day was all that Jenna Pinned it to be!

Jokes aside, it really was beautiful, full of smiles and laughter, and a really great reflection of who you are together, and the love you have for each other.

Congratulations!

February 20, 2014 A Snowy Engagement

I recently had the pleasure of a snow session with Dan & Jenna. It was one of our warmer, less windy days, thankfully, but still pretty darn chilly! They were both troopers though, and hung in there to get some amazing images, and I’m so thankful that they did!!

I just love these!

We walked, sat and even laid down in a fair amount of snow, stepped lightly on some icy patches…there was even a snowball fight!!

For Jenna, all in some rockin heels!

I’ve got to stop myself here! I could share SO many more… what a great day!!

Sometimes the words come so easily when writing these BPP’s (blog post peek’s!). Other times, I sit and stare at the computer screen for what seems like forrrrrrrever, and only get (maybe) one good sentence in! I’m not a writer, but i feel like it’s important to tell the story behind the images, so I try. Some images tell a story all on their own, and truthfully, if I become who/what I aspire to be, they all will.

I feel like this session was such a great example of that. I’ve sat and thought of what to write, and how I can describe, and tell you all about the remarkable young woman in these images, and I’ll look back at them for inspiration, and there it is.

There are no words needed.

She wears them, carries them…. they’re in her eyes, her smile, and the way she carries herself.

She’s the girl you hope your little girl will grow up to be.

I know her family is incredibly proud of her, and just in awe…. little Lettie’s a Senior!

Here’s your sneak peek!

October 29, 2012 Craft Wedding

I can’t even find my own words to describe how beautiful Jay & Jen’s Wedding Day was. Upon meeting to talk and discuss wedding plans, Jen described her wedding vision as;

a warm, colorful, burst of leaves and pumpkins and all that is great about Fall

With so much involvement in the decor, and so many homemade touches everywhere, Jen was determined to make that vision came to life.  That they did, and it was beautiful!

Of course, there were some people that helped to make this such a beautiful day too…

Deciding to meet before the ceremony for photos together and with family, not only gave Jen & Jay a shorter, more private photo opportunity immediately following their ceremony, but also took the edge off a little before the “i do’s”!

I should mention, the decor, certainly wasn’t where the beauty and personalization of this wedding day ended…

From hand made wedding bands by the groom, an unplanned personal escort down the isle for the flower girl, a heart felt speech from childhood friend/best man, Mommy & me dancing, and singing by Jay, as well as his eldest daughter, this wedding was bursting at the seems with not just pretty things an pretty people, but love, and a real family bond. You could feel it.

Jay & Jen, thank you so much for choosing me to capture such a special day in your lives for you!

Enjoy your sneak peek!
