September 4, 2012 Plymouth South Senior

I recently had the pleasure of getting together with Joshua for his senior session.

I actually remember the day Joshua was born, and have had the pleasure to watch him grow into the amazing young man he is today.

 He’s my youngest brother.

We had a lot of laughs, walking through Ellisville State Park and looking for little nooks and areas to photograph in.

DSC 3254 2 1024x678 Plymouth South Senior

I’m sure Josh is still laughing at the “cool looking trees” I wanted him to stand by….   “Amy, that’s Poison Oak…”

Oops.

These were some well groomed poison oak  trees!

DSC 3213 1 1024x678 Plymouth South Senior

All in all, it was just a great time, hanging out and being goofy….

Definitely another great memory made.

Of course, I wouldn’t being doing my job as his big sister if I didn’t add a funny little blooper.

I’ll spare you all, and just choose one of the many!

We’re just a goofy kind of family! ;)

Love you Josh!

August 30, 2012 Marshfield Senior

I recently had the pleasure of meeting Joy, and her son Marcus for a Senior photo session.

Since he lives right by the ocean and the dunes, we didn’t have to go far to find his first favorite location. As in, we crossed the street.  What a view from your front door!!  LOVEloveLOVE!!

DSC 3027 1 678x1024 Marshfield Senior

We did, however, trek up and over and through the sand dunes looking around at different areas and angles, and -OH MY!- I felt like I’d signed up for a beach boot camp!!  Marcus was amazingly able to put on the best, most genuine smile in between the huffing and puffing we were both doing from our workout.  Amazing, really!

We did manage to find areas to rest, and talk, and smile, and even a shady spot to feel the breeze for a little bit.

DSC 3076 1024x678 Marshfield Senior

When we left I had my very only ankle weights – about a pound of sand in each pant cuff, and my feet were totally exfoliated!

Oh, how I love multitasking!!

Our next location was the Veteran’s Memorial Park; a little easier terrain and nice and shady.

We did share the small area with another photographer in a senior session, but since they were sort of ‘frolicking’ and that wasn’t exactly on our agenda, we managed to share the area well, while getting all that we needed! ;)

DSC 3122 1024x678 Marshfield Senior

We timed ourselves perfectly too, as the lighting was just amazing for us at the park!

I had a great time! Boot camp and all! ;) Just wait until you see the rest!

Stay tuned!

July 31, 2012 Baby Miller

For all those who know me, even just a little bit, you know how much I loooooove getting my baby fixes in!
I just can’t get enough of those tiny little hands & feet and all the wrinkled up skin…. even those little seagull cries… Gahhh! I just love em!

Good thing other people keep having them! ;)

I was lucky enough to get to meet this little guy over the weekend.  He totally met all my expectations with his tiny little hands and feet and little man wrinkles… Oh, and the cry! I could listen to it all day! (Is that weird? Maybe a little…)

DSC 2997 1 1024x678 Baby Miller

He was the perfect little Mr!

He did cry, as babies do, but only in short spurts and was easy to calm.

DSC 3004 11 1024x759 Baby Miller

He gave me such a variety of expressions too! This little man’s got personality bursting from that 4 week old body! He wanted to give me a big ol toothy grin, I could tell, but he was a little self conscious, i think, that he didn’t have any teeth to fill the grin…. ;)

That’s ok, next time buddy.

July 26, 2012 Shepherd Wedding

This wedding felt like a long time coming (for me anyway, & I’m just the photographer! Ha!), then suddenly -BAM!- it was wedding day! Woohoo!

I’d met with Nancy about a year ago to sip some coffee, get to know eachother, and discuss her wedding vision and plans. Really, she had me with just the mention of her venue. Well, that and coffee… but mostly the venue; The Jones River Trading. LOOOOOOVE IT!

Soon after I met Peter and their two little cuties for a ‘Save the Date’ session. We emailed back and forth throughout the year, I may have Pinterest stalked her a bit, and then we met again a couple weeks before the wedding to go over final details. So much thoughtful planning and preparation went into this day & I just couldn’t wait to get my camera on all the action!

The day started early, but time just flew! Nancy & the girls got ready at her parents house. The neighborhood that watched her grow up and grew up with her, all seem to all be anxiously awaiting wedding time!
Luckily, good company is the perfect way to pass the time!

The Jones River was beautiful as always…

….and that cake? Ahh-Mayyyy-Zing!

2 1024x509 Shepherd Wedding

Peter was excited to see his bride, and Nancy was excited to finally be his Mrs! ♥

The little ones…. I think they were just excited for the big party & everyone in fancy clothes!

Tears were shed, “I do’s” were said, there was a kiss… and we all went outside to celebrate!

3 copy1 1024x832 Shepherd Wedding

The entire wedding party were ready for some fun. Organized fun in front of the camera? Well, that may not have been what everyone had in mind… but they rallied for Peter & Nacy’s sake, got some fun shots, got a little goofy, and had some good laughs throughout.

What more can a girl with a camera ask for?

Well, besides this?!?

The dance floor was HUGE, but DJ Gene DuPuis played what they wanted to hear, and kept it full throughout the entire night! Friends and family didn’t need any kind of coercion to dance the night away!

Pefection!

Congratulations Peter & Nancy!

Thank you for letting me be a part of this important day in your lives! It was a blast, and we should totally do it again! Vow renewals? Like, every year? ;)

July 10, 2012 Mr & Mrs Dawson

After a series of back and forth emails, and a move up from Texas, I was so happy to finally meet Scott and Stacy and have the opportunity to discuss their wedding vision with them.  They’re a laid back, fun couple, who are very much in love. Their wedding was sure to reflect that, and I was happy to be able to capture it all for them!

••••••

Caitlin, a good friend of Scott and Stacy’s, and first time wedding officiant through a one day marriage designation, led the ceremony. The day continued to be even more personalized and special as Scott and Stacy read vows they had written to each other.

The wedding party consisted of a great group of friends, cousins & siblings, who all played key roles in making the day more and more special.

{I’m a little behind on the blogging, but this rain is forcing a catch-up! Hooray!}

I was super excited to be able to get together with one of my favorite families to catch some shots for Dad, as a gift for Father’s Day! We met at their favorite beach, and planned to just catch them having fun!

DSC 1460 819x1024 Photos for Fathers Day!

This proved to be a little more difficult than I’d first imagined… my little buddies were a little less interested in laughing and playing with me, and more interested in running in the water & rock jumping – all while looking in whatever direction I was NOT! Haha!

DSC 1469 1 1024x678 Photos for Fathers Day!

I did mange to squeeze out some giggles, and glances though, and catching them being themselves was perfect!

In the end, while I was worried we might have ended up with less than a hand full of usable shots, I ended up with plenty of images that just melted my heart!!

Oh, & I guess Dad ended up with a pretty nice Father’s Day gift as well! ;)

Sorry, it had to be said, or, sung.

(You know i sung the words out loud as I was typing… Plus, who can sing that one line without continuing on to sing… START AGAIIIIIIN!)

Moving on.

I recently photographed the wedding of Jen & Joe;

Mr & Mrs White.

Jen and I met, and discussed her wedding plans at length.  I was so in love with her wedding colors, venue, and all the ideas she had for her wedding… I was ready to ask to be a bridesmaid instead!
The wedding was going to be beautiful, and fun, and best of all, she gave me full creative freedom with all of the posing for the day. Talk about kid in a candy store!!!  Yahoooooo!!

Jen was a beautiful bride; even while sticking her tongue out & giving cross eyes to all who helped prep her for the day!  She was determined to add some of her own originality to her wedding day…. and she did just that!!
It was awesome!

1 ...nice day for a, White Wedding!

I didn’t meet Joe until the wedding day. After a quick, “which one of you is the Groom?”, we were off to a great start! He was a bit nervous I think, and on the quiet side, but also so very nice and accommodating.

I was even able to convince him to get goofy in a picture or two for me!

Bonus!

2 ...nice day for a, White Wedding!

The couple decided to have a “First Look”, where they exchanged gifts and a (semi) private moment before their ceremony. It was amazing to be able to capture, and they both later agreed that it helped “take the edge off” as far as nerves before the ceremony.

DSC 0916 2 1024x678 ...nice day for a, White Wedding!

Both Jen and Joe have fabulous friends & family, and a wedding party who were ready & willing to do whatever was asked of them!  (Including grinning through the chills to get some fun shots! Thank you all!!!!)

3 ...nice day for a, White Wedding!

Everything turned out beautifully, and a great time was had by all!

It’s March, and we’re at the beach… sleeveless, warm and tanning.  What a crazy Winter it’s been!

Ok, so maybe I’m exaggerating a bit about the warm part.  Also, I might have been wearing a sweatshirt and a jacket, and let’s face it – I could probably be on the sun and still wouldn’t tan… but I totally could have taken my coat off.

Everyone seems to have cool “my [insert plant name here] bloomed all winter long – what crazy weather we’re having” stories.  Well I don’t garden.  My plants died long before winter happened (or didn’t happen).  Frolicking at the beach in early March without scarves, winter boots and wind burn is my cool story!

I met Matt & Kerin beachside, and they were actually the brave, bare armed ones.  While it wasn’t warm, it also wan’t freezing.  Plus, we practically hiked the beach, so Matt & Kerin were able to keep fairly warm.  We had some fun and made the most of the sunshine and just all around beautiful weather…. but most importantly of all – we got some great shots!

Here are some teasers;

I had so much fun and am really happy with the images we were able to get!

I can’t wait for that September Wedding!

January 12, 2012 A Year in Review…

My apologies for being SO late in posting this!  I know you were all on the edge of your seats waiting for it! ;) The Christmas season ended up being SO busy for me, (like whoa – I love you guys!!) that afterwards, I think I just sort of ‘shut off’ for a little bit.  However, I’m back, I’ve missed you all, and I’m ready for a fantastic Twenty Twelve!

But wait!

First, let’s take a peek back on 2011 and remember all the good times we had!

The year started off at Children’s Hospital, with the LaFountain family of Caring Crowns, visiting little Miss Chloe.

DSC 0276 300x214 A Year in Review...

Little Chloe, at just four months old, was diagnosed with  Acute  Lymphatic Leukemia. She was the first princess  sponsored by  Caring Crowns, and it was such a joy to have had  the  opportunity to meet her and her family.  These days,  Princess  Chloe is home  and doing well, and her friends and  family  couldn’t be happier  about it!   Visit here for more  updates on this little fighter.

Next there was the Crowns For a Cure (now Caring Crowns)  Pageant.

CFAC 1024x512 A Year in Review...There were so many contestants and vendors, and TONS of people showed up to have some fun, cheer everyone on, and of course, to raise money for such a wonderful cause!

I can’t wait to see the turnout for this year!  The date is set for February 18th! Go here to get your registration forms printed!

Have you signed up yet? I’d love to see some of my favorites there!!

(who am I kidding – you’re ALL my favorites !!  Seeing you all there would be pretty amazing, y’know…. winkwink-hinthint!)

……………………………………………………………………………

Next up is family, sibling,  newborn, maternity, children, birthday, and ‘just because’ portrait sessions.

I had originally wanted to share an individual image  or two from each and tell you a little something special about the session…. then I realized I wanted to get this done sometime this year! So, I made up some collages of some of my favorite images of 2011.

  1 1024x1024 A Year in Review... 2 1024x1024 A Year in Review... 3 1024x1024 A Year in Review... 6 1024x1024 A Year in Review... 4 1024x1024 A Year in Review...

5 1024x1024 A Year in Review...

I had so much fun this year with all of you!  It’s fun to watch the little ones grow up, families expand, and to meet new friends and family through your referrals.  Looking back on all your smiling faces (and laughing through some ‘bloopers’) I’m just completely overwhelmed and grateful that you’ve not only let me capture your family’s story, but that you’ve let me become a small part of it.

There I go, getting all sappy…

Seriously though, you guys are awesome.

……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..

Next up is the UR Brand photoshoot!

7 A Year in Review...

UR Brand just released a clothing line called “PopUlaR”

The clothing is designed to make a statement. U R Polular – meaning everyone is popular.  The line was created to promote positive self-esteem, spread awareness, and stand up against bullying.

The photoshoot was a lot of fun, and so many great models came out to help promote UR Brand.  A launch party is scheduled on February 25th. Check here for details on how to purchase tickets

………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………

Last, but certainly not least,

my 2011

Bride & Grooms!!

♥ ♥ ♥

First up,

Mr & Mrs Craaybeek

Craaybeek 1024x469 A Year in Review...

Family helped in planning this day from start to finish.  Married in the church she grew up in, and just eager to say “I do”, Kristilyn had nerves of steel.  Todd, however…. well, his nerves may have been lacking some steel! ;)

I hear the Craaybeek family is expected to expand in about 3-4ish months (I think)…. with a little girl!! ♥

………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….

Next we have

Mr & Mrs Moriarty

Moriarty 1024x512 A Year in Review...There’s something about 2011 that made for calm and collected brides, and nervous and fidgety grooms!

(Or maybe us woman can just hide it better!)

Jen and Dan both wrote their own vows, and it was difficult not to tear up, listening to their heartfelt words to eachother. They then went from a sentimental ceremony, to a par-tayyyyyy of a reception!  Friends and family filled the dance floor all night long. Jen even decided to end the night by singing for everyone! It was a great day!

The Moriarty family is also preparing to expand!  Pink or Blue?  No news yet!

……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………

Next up;

Mr & Mrs Donovan

Donovan 1024x512 A Year in Review...

This wedding was also a lot of fun!  Melissa and Sean have such a caring, fun-loving, and just plain fantastic group of friends and family!  There was non-stop laughter and smiles throughout the whole day!  Everyone played a part in helping the day to go smoothly, and then making sure that dance floor was never bare!  I’ll always remember watching the Limo just bouncing like crazy to the beat at the stop light on the way to the reception!

So much fun!

……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….

Next we have

Mr & Mrs Jesse

Jesse 1024x512 A Year in Review...

Nicole made for such a beautiful bride, and when I was done sobbing over her, I noticed that Ben made a very handsome groom as well!

Their group was also ready to par-taayyyy!!  They braved a very chilly beach, with plenty of smiles and silliness to go around, hammed it up at the PhotoBooth, and danced and sang the night away!

We should do it again…. say, next week?  ;)

……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………

And my last 2011 Bride & Groom;

Mr & Mrs Conzelman

Conzelman 1024x512 A Year in Review...

I didn’t have as much time to get to know these two, but from our first meeting it was clear that they were very much in love.

Their friends had such wonderful things to say about them in their toasts, and they were all hilarious coming up with poses during our time for “formals”.  The dance with the groom and bride’s brother was….. well, pretty epic.  I’ve never used that word before, haha!!  I’m just not sure what else i could say!

Such a fun group and a beautiful wedding!

……………………………………………………………………………………………….

Well, that sums up 2011!

It was a lot of fun.

I was so fortunate and blessed to have met so many new faces this past year, and they were all sent to me by familiar ones.  How great is that?

I can’t wait to see what 2012 brings!

♥ Thank you guys so much for your continued business, friendship and support! ♥
