Dj & Erin are such a loving, kind, and easy going couple. It was such a breeze capturing their wedding day.

Actually, a breeze was what we all wished for, on this scorching summer day, but Dj and Erin’s calm and laid back approach, allowing for breaks, making adjustments as needed, and just generally planning ahead to be sure that everyone would be comfortable, happy, and entertained throughout all of the days events, really made all the difference.

After a sweet outdoor ceremony, guests could be found cooling off inside, enjoying some shade on the back patio, or playing cornhole, tic tac toe, or gigantic jenga on the lawn.

The evening was kicked off in style. Not only with the bride and groom’s first dance as Mr & Mrs, followed by parent dances made even sweeter when shared with the Erin’s Uncles as well, but also a couple of toasts…. a couple of toasts that, much to the couple’s surprise, turned into a family flash mob!

It was fabulous. It was all fabulous.

I’m not sure how I always get so lucky with such amazing, kind, and thoughtful Bride & Grooms. I seriously get all of the sweetest ones! No complaints here!

Andres & Ashley were certainly no exception to this lucky streak of mine!
Ashley was such a quiet, kind and agreeable Bride. I think she was just ready to marry her man! All the rest were just happy details at that point. Andres’ first words when I walked into his room were, “how is she?”.

The apples didn’t fall far; both Andres & Ashley’s family were so kind and accommodating as well. Someone was always helping someone else out. Knowing smiles, congratulatory remarks and welcomes were generously passed along throughout the day. It was clear that they weren’t just happy to celebrate Andres & Ashley’s love for each other, but also the fact that their families had each now grown immensely through this marriage.

After a sweet ceremony where vows and great beaming smiles were exchanged, along with the ‘I do’s’, of course, the couple and I headed through areas of downtown Plymouth together by trolley. Our upbeat trolley driver gave us a brief history lesson as we traveled to a few favorite scenic stops. It was a great way to get around!

When we returned, not only was the night started off with some heartfelt speeches and touching parent dances, but the couple also brought in some extra entertainment for their guests… some very special dancers; a Colombian folkloric dance group. They were a hit, and definitely got the evening dancing off to a great start!

Michael and Mallory are two of the nicest people you’d ever want to come across. Both could be found, throughout the day, checking in on or tending to guests and family, or happily dancing with their daughter and nephew. Throughout the day Mallory would tell her daughter, Emily,  “This is your day. You’re the princess.”, and even followed through on a promise to let her wear her veil once the ceremony was over. Emily, however, proudly made sure that everyone knew that her mommy was the prettiest girl of the day.

Adorable!

After a ceremony with some nervous giggles, and a shaky attempt at some group photos on the dock (Eek!), the reception was started off on the right foot with Emily joining in on the couple’s first dance. So sweet!

Friends and family were happy to get on the dance floor in celebration of this sweet couple, and a fantastic evening was had by all!

Michael & Mallory, congratulations and thanks for choosing me to capture this amazing day for you guys!

May 28, 2016 Garcia Wedding

On the warmest and most beautiful day in May,
I had the pleasure of capturing José and Diana’s Wedding day.

We Started the day off with a first look at Plymouth’s own, Yacht Club.
Not only were we all thrilled when the ocean tossed us a nice breeze, but also thankful to be able to rotate Bride, Groom and wedding party in and out of the air conditioning in the club between shots.

Far better than the relief from the heat, however, was the look on José’s face when he first saw his Bride.
Just completely overwhelmed and awestruck…..by his stunningly beautiful Bride.

The day continued on with tears, smiles, and laughter throughout. So many quiet, smiley moments, quickly turned into quiet smiley tears… and stories of the love and admiration for these two were just overwhelming. The love and support for both José & Diana not only filled the room, but was bursting at the seams.

Once all the formalities were done, and the tears wiped away, this group danced. Like whoa.
If there was a group dance that they didn’t do, I’d be surprised! It was hilarious and awesome, and made me wish I took more than just still shots. The dance floor was consistently full of the perfect combination of skilled, goofy, and fun dance moves.
The perfect way to end such a beautiful and momentous day!

José & Diana, I am so grateful to have been able to capture your Wedding Day for you.
I wish you an abundance of love and happiness for many, many years to come!

April 30, 2016 Dias Wedding

Want to hear about how much I love Weddings? Well too bad!

Sure, this is the Dias Wedding sneak peek that so many of you have been waiting for… but we’re going to take a moment to discuss family, friends, and all the people in between, that come together in your life to lift you up when you’re down, and super happy crazy dance when you’re up. If there was a day, a few weeks ago, that you were like, “Where are those people?! I need them!!”
Well, they were all at a Wedding. I’m sorry.

When the groom found himself in the hospital the week of his Wedding, a bat signal was sent out. So many different family members, friends, and vendors came through to set up the reception hall, coordinate the ceremony, and make sure every part of the day was ‘just so’…. I’m fairly certain, however, that they would have all done the same without a medical emergency as well. They all seemed like great swoopers. This wasn’t their first rodeo! ♥
As you can imagine, there were tears… it’s a Wedding, after all. There were also smiles. So many genuine, proud, happy, loving smiles… The kind that make your face hurt, and bring even more tears to your eyes. There was laughter, there was delicious, “eat some more!” food, there was dancing… nonstop, hilariously fun dancing, there were heartfelt toasts made on the fly, there was Tone Loc…sort of…. There was even a rainbow, without the rain!
These people did that. Jeff & Jenifer planned their Wedding day with family at the forefront of it all. Family, Friends….  They came to celebrate, express their love, lift up, and super happy crazy dance. ♥

Fine… I’ll say it….
I love Weddings!!!!

I’m truly so grateful to have been able to capture this amazing day for Jeff & Jenifer.

April 16, 2016 Mahoney Wedding

Ahhhh, the start of my Wedding season!! ♥

I couldn’t have asked for a better start! The weather was beautiful, a little bit chilly and slightly windy, but it looked beautiful… all sunshiney, with some happy clouds… What more can a girl with a camera ask for?!

Rebecca & Ray were an easy peasy, calm and collected Bride & Groom.
They were excited to get the day started and to see everything they’d worked at planning come together so beautifully. Last minute decisions, like reversing the ceremony direction – chairs, huppah and all – to accommodate for unexpected winds, were not going to throw Rebecca off her happy course, and were made without batting an eyelash.
Ray was so diligent about not spoiling the moment and seeing his future bride too soon. When he wasn’t in the hideaway room, you’d often see him, head up, down, or eyes shielded – just in case. Even as Rebecca made her way to walk down the aisle, Ray could be seen, eyes in the sky, until his best man gave him the ‘ok’.

The day was truly a celebration of love, and judging from the abundant smiles and happy tears, their family and friends could not have been happier to be a part of it!

Ray & Rebecca, thank you so much for allowing me to capture this day for you!

April 13, 2016 and then he was one!

Eeeeeeeeeverybody and their momma will tell you about how time flies when you have children, and to cherish the moments and phases, as they’ll be over before you know it.  Well, everybody and their mommas know what’s up! They hit the nail on the head with that one. Meanwhile, we’re ‘yeah, yeah’ing’ them with a polite smile like ‘ooooookay, time is time!’……. then BAM!!
Your tiny little bubby is ONE YEAR old!

Ok, not my bubby… mine are nearly 15 and 8 though, so I can relate to the flying of time and cherishing of moments.

I digress.

This little man seemed to have been such a tiny little bub just a short, short time ago….

Well he’s been busy growing, and while he’s just as adorable, he’s quite not as sleepy! ;)

April 10, 2016 Baby B

This little dude has been looooooong overdue for his Blog debut!
I think my blogging skills went into hibernation this winter!

Anyway, this little guy was determined, no matter how many feedings, blankets, despite any tricks we had up our sleeves, or how long we were prepared to wait….to stay awake.
{Insert Nemo’s Dad, Marlin, yelling to Dori, “Stay awake, stay awake! Stay a-waaaaaaake!”}
There was company, they were looking at him… he knew it, and he was making sure he didn’t miss out on a thing!

We were lucky to capture him dozing a few times, but really, I was happy either way, as he had the most adorable expressions, and was just a handsome little bub!

You’ll agree.

October 10, 2015 Cloherty Wedding

The day started out with nervous jitters all around!

Everything was going according to plan, all the details had been thought of and the day couldn’t have been more beautiful. Still, nothing was going to calm this pair until the moment they were able to meet eyes, finally exhale, and say their “I do’s”.
{insert our own ‘waiting to exhale’ joke here}

That’s exactly what happened too. You could nearly feel all the nerves and anxiety of the day slowly just melt away with smiles as they met each other at the altar.

We made a mad dash after the ceremony, trying to catch the last of the sun, and maybe even a little sunset.
These two wanted it just as badly as I did though, so they dashed along with me, and we laughed throughout the rush, and got exactly what we wanted, in record time!

{Boom!}

September 19, 2015 Morisi Wedding

When Maureen & Kevin started planning their Wedding, Mason jars were the decided theme. Once there, and the day was well underway, it was all so thoughtfully done and beautiful, but for Kevin & Maureen,  laughter, fun and celebration was really the clear theme of the day!

The venue was beautifully decorated with handcrafted items that Maureen boasted, were mostly created by Kevin. His response? “A real man goes to Joanne Fabrics, and loves it! That place is awesome!”
